These Terms of Service govern the provision of tuition and workshop services by Tamina Learning Ltd. By booking tuition or registering for a workshop, you agree to these Terms.

We provide specialist secondary Business tuition and exam skills workshops.

2. Contracting Party

Where a student is under 18 years of age, a parent or legal guardian is the contracting party and is responsible for:

  • Booking arrangements
  • Payment of fees
  • Ensuring attendance
  • Agreeing to these Terms

3. Services Provided

We offer:

  • Online 1:1 tuition
  • Online small-group tuition
  • In-person exam skills workshops
  • In-person booster sessions

All services are delivered in accordance with our professional judgement and educational expertise.

We do not guarantee specific grades or examination outcomes.

4. Fees and Payment

4.1 Tuition Fees

Current tuition rates are published on our website.

Payment terms:

  • Payment is due in advance unless otherwise agreed.
  • Package payments must be made in full prior to the first session.
  • Payment is currently accepted via bank transfer.

4.2 Workshop Fees

Workshop places are confirmed upon receipt of payment.

If minimum group numbers are not met, we reserve the right to cancel the workshop and issue a full refund.

5. Cancellation Policy – Tuition

5.1 Student Cancellation

At least 24 hours' notice is required to cancel or reschedule a tuition session.

Where less than 24 hours' notice is provided, the full session fee remains payable.

5.2 Tutor Cancellation

If we need to cancel a session due to illness or unforeseen circumstances:

  • The session will be rescheduled where possible, or
  • A refund will be issued for that session.

6. Cancellation Policy – Workshops

6.1 Parent/Student Cancellation

  • Cancellations made 7 days or more before the workshop date: full refund.
  • Cancellations made fewer than 7 days before the workshop: no refund unless the place can be filled.

6.2 Cancellation by Us

We reserve the right to cancel a workshop where:

  • Minimum group numbers are not met
  • Unforeseen circumstances arise

In such cases, a full refund will be issued.

We are not liable for travel or accommodation costs incurred.

7. Packages

Where tuition is purchased as a package:

  • Sessions must typically be used within the agreed academic term.
  • Unused sessions are non-refundable unless agreed in writing.
  • Package discounts apply only where payment is made in full in advance.

8. Safeguarding

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.

  • A valid DBS check is maintained.
  • A parent or guardian must be aware of all tuition arrangements.
  • Online sessions are delivered via secure platforms.

Sessions are not recorded unless expressly agreed in advance by all parties.

9. Behaviour and Conduct

Students are expected to engage respectfully during sessions.

We reserve the right to terminate services where behaviour is:

  • Disruptive
  • Inappropriate
  • Unsafe

In such cases, refunds will be at our discretion.

10. Academic Outcomes

While we use evidence-informed teaching methods and exam coaching techniques, we do not guarantee:

  • Specific grades
  • Examination outcomes
  • University admissions

Academic performance depends on multiple factors beyond tutoring support.

11. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for:

  • Death or personal injury caused by negligence
  • Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation

Subject to the above, our liability is limited to the total fees paid for the relevant service.

12. Data Protection

Personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

The version in force at the time of booking will apply to the services provided.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
