This policy explains how cancellations and refunds are handled for tuition and workshops delivered by Tamina Learning Ltd.
1. Tuition Sessions (Online 1:1 & Small Group)
Cancelling or Rescheduling a Session
If you need to cancel or reschedule a tuition session:
- Please provide at least 24 hours' notice.
- Sessions cancelled with more than 24 hours' notice may be rescheduled without charge.
- Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice are charged in full.
This policy ensures fairness and protects allocated session time.
If We Need to Cancel
If a session needs to be cancelled due to illness or unforeseen circumstances:
- The session will be rescheduled where possible, or
- A refund will be issued for that session.
2. Tuition Packages
Where tuition is purchased as a package:
- Payment is made in advance at a discounted rate.
- Sessions are expected to be used within the agreed academic term.
- Unused sessions are non-refundable unless agreed in writing.
- Missed sessions without 24 hours' notice count as used sessions.

3. Workshops
Cancelling a Workshop Booking
- Cancellations made 7 days or more before the workshop date: full refund.
- Cancellations made fewer than 7 days before the workshop: no refund unless the place can be filled.
Places are limited and planned in advance, so late cancellations may prevent another student from attending.
If We Cancel a Workshop
If a workshop is cancelled due to:
- Insufficient enrolment (minimum numbers not met), or
- Unforeseen circumstances,
A full refund will be issued.
We are not responsible for travel or accommodation costs incurred.
4. Optional Marked Essay Session (Workshop Add-On)
Where an optional marked essay feedback session is purchased:
- If cancelled before marking has begun, a refund will be issued.
- Once marking and written feedback have been completed, the fee is non-refundable.
5. Exceptional Circumstances
We understand that unexpected situations arise.
In cases of serious illness or exceptional circumstances, please contact us. Any discretionary refunds or rescheduling will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
6. How Refunds Are Issued
Refunds will be issued via the original payment method (bank transfer) within a reasonable timeframe.
